Mr. Ed Leachman comes to Tech after serving as the Director of the Office of Electronic Services for the State of Louisiana with previous employment as the manager of Imagery and Geospatial Systems for the Raytheon Corporation.. He has held various other top level management positions in which he had responsibility for planning, budgeting, quality control, and training including ISO 9000 accreditation. He has developed proposals to the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and NASA. He has directed projects to create high resolution, digital imagery and has received funding to plan for and disseminate digital imagery and other geographic products to support mitigation operations in the event of disasters such as oil spills, flooding, and hurricanes. He has experience with mitigation efforts for both man-made and natural disasters as they threaten business continuity and disaster recovery efforts in the public and private sector including terrorism, cyber-terrorism, and cyber-intrusion.
